$80,000 plan for artists
PA Wellington The Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council has established an $BO,OOO programme aimed at boosting artistic input into New Zealand’s disabled community. It is an artists-in-resi-dence programme, funded in part from the Telethon Trust, which will encourage artists to work with disabled people. The Arts Council is calling for applications from institutions, communities, artists, and organisations for the first five residencies. The council chairman, Sir Michael Fowler, said yesterday that these would be situated throughout the country.
The closing date for inquiries is August 19.
