Tenders CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT RUNWAY EXTENSION CONTRACTORS interested in tendering for the civil and electrical work associated with the approach and runway lighting for the extension of the runway at Christchurch International Airport are invited to register their names so that documents can be forwarded to them. The work will be in two stages. The first stage is civil consisting of extending existing ducting under the runway and taxiway and installing new ducting from existing light positions. The second stage is a mixture of civil and electrical consisting of trenching, laying cables and installing lights. As the airport will be in normal use during the day a large proportion of the work will have to be done at night.
