Cassidy gets one back
By
J. J. BOYLE
Jim Cassidy reduced David Peake’s lead on the jockeys’ table by one at the Timaru Racing Club’s meeting yesterday. Both boosted their totals through the efforts of three members of Peter Jones’s Riccarton team. Peake won on Treacle, Cassidy on Third Degree and later on Damazam.
Peake, with 117 wins, goes into today's racing with a lead of seven over last year’s champion jockey.
