Two series to end
David McPhail and Jon Gadsby will take their leave of viewers tonight in the final programme of their current series, screening on One. The duo will be back in August in a “Best of McPhail and Gadsby Special,” screening on Two, “and there are rumours that the gruesome twosome could be back in time for some Christmas cheer,”
says TVNZ. Next Monday, Billy T. James will return in a new series, which will also feature Doug Aston and Laurie Dee. Included in this series will be a seven-part serial, “Last Tango In Te Kuiti.” “Don’t Rock the Boat” will also end tonight. In that slot next week, “The World of Miss Universe,” a behind-
the-scenes look at the lavish preparations leading up to the “Miss Universe 1983” pageant, will screen on One. The special takes a look at the contestants’ costumes, swimsuits and evening gowns, as well as featuring a “Where are they now?” section, and highlighting the road to Miss Universe followed by the 80 hopefuls.
