Jail for wounding
PA Wellington A youth has been sentenced in the High Court in Wellington to two years jail on three charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one of assault. He is John Kainga Edwards, aged 16, unemployed,
who pleaded guilty. The offences arose from a fight outside a hotel in Wairoa, Mr Justice Greig said. Edwards had joined in the fight in support of his friends and associates, and stabbed three persons with a knife.
