Juvenile winner disqualified
PA Palmerston North Silver Secret has been disqualified from first place in the Eketahuna Juvenile Handicap, run at Masterton, on May 28. Following an inquiry in Wellington on Friday, the Husha colt has been disqualified from that race with the placings as follows: Lacks Reason first, Royal Sand second, Think Again third, and Aptitude fourth. Silver Secret’s owners, Messrs M. T. Booth, R. T. Brider and A. M. Jackson, appeared to face the charge that they failed to notify the New Zealand Racing Conference of their purchase of Silver Secret in July of last year. They admitted that charge under rule 120 (5) and each was fined $5O and ordered to pay costs of the horse being disqualified. Silver Secret has since raced at Hawera where he was unplaced.
