Fund set up A fund to help pay the cost of a High Court appeal by Lindy Chamberlain is being set up by the Seventh Day Adventist Church. This comes after reports that the Federal Government had decided to stop legal aid for Mrs Chamberlain, aged 34, who has an appeal pending against her conviction for murdering her baby daughter, Azaria — Melbourne. Murder request The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Salaeddine el Alami, has issued a general order authorising any Muslim to assassinate President Hafez Assad of Syria. It is “the duty of all Muslims to kill Assad as (the late Egyptian President Anwar) Sadat was killed,” the Shiekh told a group of journalists. — Jerusalem.
