Ministry papers stolen
PA Dunedin Confidential papers were stolen from the Clyde office of the Ministry of Works and Development some time at the week-end, said the Clutha Valley power development project engineer, Mr E. H. Hughes last ingThe matter was under police investigation, he said. “No further details will
be released, as they would be prejudicial to police inquiries,” said Mr Hughes. The burglary was committed between midnight on Saturday and 7 a.m. yesterday, said Detective I. E. Daniels, of the Alexandra police. Only papers were stolen, he said. The police were following a firm line of inquiry.
