Cancellation of league
Sir,—l wholeheartedly agree with comments made by K. P. J. Williams (June 11). Surely it is not too much to ask TVNZ to give the sports-minded New Zealander a chance to view the top players of the rugby league code in the world. We are left to watch snooker and soccer from further afield which has no New Zealand participation whatsoever. At least in the K.B. Competition we are given the opportunity of viewing top New Zealand sportsmen competing in what must surely be one of the most professional competitions in the world. It is fair to say that a large number of rugby union players are regular viewers of this exciting competition.—Yours, etc., A. F. CLARKE.
