1985 Chch conference
Christchurch as a tourist and conference centre will come under close scrutiny in two years when the Pacific Area Travel Association holds its annual Conference in the city. The announcement of Christchurch as the conference centre was made by
the Minister of Tourism, Mr Talbot, at the opening of a P.A.T.A. development authority tourism planning workshop in Christchurch yesterday. Tourism representatives from many countries will be in the city for the conference.
