Airport open again
Air traffic in and out of Christchurch . Airport returned to normal yesterday morning after all Air New Zealand flights using the airport were cancelled on Monday because of fog. About 350 Christchurchbound passengers who had been stranded in Auckland an-ived on a Boeing 747 flight about 7.30 a.m. yesterday.
The 747 was originally scheduled to land in Christchurch on Sunday from Melbourne, but was diverted to Auckland because of the fog. It left Christchurch for Brisbane at 8.30 a.m. yesterday instead of its -original schedule of 5.30 p.m. on Monday.
