Sports bodies get $1,330,000
PA Wellington Sporting and outdoor organisations will receive grants of $1,330,000 this year from the New Zealand Lottery Board, said the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Highet. The New Zealand Sports Foundation will receive $220,000, the same as last year, and has also been given a $30,000 loan to buy a data processing system, Mr Highet said: The Council for Recrta-
tion and Sport has been given $135,000, although a special grant of $BO,OOO it received last year for the "Have a Go” campaign has not been repeated. The Mountain Safety Council has been given - $325,000, up $19,000 from last year. Water safety groups have been allocated $650,000, an increase of $30,000. The Water Safety Council gets $475,000 and the Surf Life Saving Association $175,000.
