Bombs tested The United States Government has exploded two nuclear weapons beneath the Nevada test site — one to test military hardware and the other to test the bomb itself. Each blast had a yield of less than 20 kilotons, smaller than the 23-kilotons explosion that destroyed Nagasaki at the end of World War 11. — Las Vegas.
