Ride to Everest
Two Americans have become the first pair to reach the base camp of Mount Everest on bicycles, said the Nepalese Tourism Ministry. Craig Moffat, aged 28, of Illinois, and Brad Greenwald, also 28, of Texas, left Lukla, the nearest airfield in the Everest region, on April 24 and reached the base camp at Mount Everest on May 1. After spending two days at the base camp, they left the foot of Mount Everest for Kathmandu. — Kathmandu.
