MAY County Engineer. ® New Zealand Forest Service HELICOPTER HIRE ASHLEY/MT THOMAS FORESTS WRITTEN tenders are Invited from experienced contractors for the deployment of a helicopter on the following spraying operations at Ashley/Mt Thomas Forests. (a) Approximately 105 ha of release spraying of young pinus radiata at Ashley Forest with 6 L 245-TLV In 220 L water/ha. (b) Approximately lOha of release spraying of young pinus radiata at Mt Thomas Forest with 6 L 245-TLV In 220 L water/ ha. (c) Approximately 50ha of kill spraying of gorse regrowth at Ashley Forest with 6 L Tordon DS In 325 L water/ha. (d) In addition a further lOOha of kill spraying at Mt Thomas may be offered to the successful tenderer, dependant on gorse regrowth within the area. . All work will be performed on an hourly hire rate and tenderers must state an hourly machine hire rate with any ferry charges Involved separate. Operations to commence from May 23,1983 and be completed by June 23, 1983. Water and chemicals shall be provided but the contractor shall be responsible for mixing and loading. The contract shall be oh the standard FS D 43 form which must be signed within 14 days of acceptance of tender and before work commences. Intending tenderers are to Inspect the areas and should arrange this with the Officer in Charge, Ashley (contact Forest Ranger R. G. Waldron), telephone 8015 Rangiora, from whom copies of the schedule may be obtained. Tenders are to be In a sealed envelope clearly endorsed "Tender for Helicopter Hire — Ashley Forest,” and close with the Conservator of Forests, New Zealand Forest Service, P.O.
