Emergency call for sick seaman

A sick seaman in a Japanese tuna vessel arrived at Lyttelton early yesterday morning. The pilot cutter Wairangi was called out to the Koyo Maru 51 about 2.30 a.m., said the Harbourmaster, Captain J. A. Barbour. The Wairangi was met at the cattle jetty by a doctor about. 3.10 a.m. An ambulance took the seaman to hospital where he yesterday underwent tests.
