Govt will look at ‘whole field of tax’

He told journalists at a post-caucus press confer-

ence that he had yesterday met officials for the first time this year to discuss the structure of the Budget and talk about new economic projections. He said that Mr Falloon’s comments about the surtax were “no more than what I said last year. Re is looking some distance ahead.” Asked if he would look at the surtax this year because of the new projections, Mr Muldoon said, “We will look at the whole field of tax.”
