Sir, — “. . . you won’t get atom bombs flying around out there,” “No one is going to drop a bomb on New Zealand”. These comments from English emigrants planning a new life in New Zealand. (“The
Press,” March 18) highlight the constant fear and tension experienced on that count in Europe. New Zealand is seen as a haven. It is good that there are many concerned people here who wish to keep it that way. Our own council by promoting the Peace Festival on Sunday is truly showing itself as capable of real leadership. “Blessed are the peacemakers.” —
