Nathan retires
PA Auckland Waka Nathan has decided to step down from his place as the Maori member of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union Council.
Nathan, who is recovering rapidly from a recent illness, said yesterday that the demands "of his growing
family and work were factors in his decision.
"I will not have enough time to do the council work properly." he said. Mr Ron Don. the chairman of the Auckland Rugby Union, said yesterday that the A.R.U. was withdrawing Mr Nathan’s nomination for the N.Z.R.F.U. Council.
