An outbreak of influenza left 35 people dead in the remote Jayawijaya mountain range in West Irian early this month, reports the newspaper "Sinar Harapan.” The paper quoted the district head, Benny Manuputty, as saying that local health teams had to walk for five days to reach the isolated Kutdal—Jakarta
