Firm to design new library
Kaiapoi's new public library will be designed by the Christchurch-based firm of Lucking. Vial and Bellerby. The Kaiapoi Borough Council’s town-planning and library committee had recommended that the council offer the library project to the firm because of its experience in this field of design. . Lucking. Vial and Bellerby was responsible for designing the new Spreydon Library for the Christchurch City Council and assisted the Lyttelton Borough Council in establishing a public library. The council is expected to meet the firm for preliminary talks soon.
