PA Wellington The Petone Rugby Club's management committee will hold a special meeting this week to discuss an incident in Tokyo when its half back, Peter Green, had his throat cut.

Green, aged 24. arrived home on Saturday, a day after most of the team returned from the club’s tour of Japan.

The Petone club’s chairman. Mr Norman Haddy, said last evening that he was in no position to talk about the incident ’ until the tour manager's report had been received. Green, who has recovered, said that the incident was an accident, but would not comment further.
