General forecast: A deep depression is moving eastwards south of the Chatham Islands and a cold, south-westerly airstream flows over New Zealand. In most western areas of both islands a few showers are expected. It should be cold with further showers in southern New Zealand. In most eastern areas north of Dunedin rather changeable weather is expected, with cool south-westerlies increasing at times, with showers
