Appointment to top post
After seven years as assistant chief inspector to the Ministry of Works and Development, Mr J. M. Gleeson has been appointed to a top post in the Ministry's head office in Wellington. Mr Gleeson will begin his duties as chief inspector on Monday, succeeding Mr D. J. Chapman, who is retiring.
In addition to the seven years as assistant chief inspector, Mr Gleeson has worked as the Ministry’s district accountant in Wanganui and Napier, and has also done accountancy work in Nelson and the Cook Islands. Mr Gleeson lists his interests as playing bowls and rugby administration.
