PA Wellington Hire purchase advances for the year ended December 1982 totalled $838.2 million, up 26.6 per cent on 1981's $662.0 million the Statistics Department announced. The figure for the December, 1982, quarter was $218.6 million, up 15.5 per cent on the December. 1981. quarter's
$189.3 million. Bigger advances in the latest December quarter included: buses, trucks, tractors (up 20.2 per cent), cars, motor cycles, caravans (up 11.2 per cent), plant and machinery (up 13.5 per cent), and household and personal, including television sets (up 17.2 per cent).
