Attempt to fence pools
PA Dunedin The Elunket Society will support the introduction of legislation which would require local authorities to enforce the fencing of private swimming pools in their area. This was decided at a meeting of the society's national executive in Wellington this week.
A submission outlining the society’s reasons would be made to the Local Bills Committee when it considers the issue, said the president of the society, Mrs M. Graham. At the end of last year. Parliament referred the matter to the Local Bills Committee for further consideration.
