Lewis, Simpson ousted
NZPA-Reuter La Quinta. California New Zealanders Chris Lewis, and Russell Simpson were beaten in the third round of a $255,000 tennis tournament here yesterday. Twelfth-seeded Lewis was
defeated 6-4. 6-4. by an unseeded American Mike Bauer, who earlier beat the top seed. Jimmy Connors. Simpson, the fourteenth seed, went down 6-0. 6-3 to Robert Van't Hof of the United States.
