$16,500 on offer today
PA Wellington The New Zealand cricket team, which took more than $44,000 from its success in the World Series Cup championship in Australia, can hope to add $16,500 to that if it wins the one day international against England at Lancaster Park today. Already the Kiwis have taken $ll,OOO from the Rothmans Cup series — two $5,000 cheques for victories at Eden Park and the Basin Reserve, and $5OO for each of Glenn Turner’s man of the match awards. To that New Zealand could add a further $5OOO from victory in today's match — for a series total of $16,000 — and an additional $5OO should the man of the match award again go its way.
