Two left behind
PA Auckland Two young players, Martin Felton and Mike Groom, have been left out of the New Zealand squad who fly to Melbourne today for the return soccer international with Australia on Sunday. The team manager, Allan Jones, said at training yesterday, however, that the pair were still very much part of- his future planning, including the internationals
later this year. On Sunday New Zealand has a psychological advantage. In their last five outings. New Zealand has won three times and the other two games were drawn. The Socceroos, who lost 2-1 on Tuesday, had come only for victory and were stunned by the way the New Zealanders had come back to win with a simple, no-non-sense strategy built around a solid, well-organised defence.
