ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT MYXOMATOSIS IN VIEW of recent publicity and public comment, the Agricultural Pests Destruction Council has commissioned an environmental impact assessment on the possible re-introduction of the virus disease, myxomatosis, for the control of rabbits. It is not a formal environmental impact report and was commissioned to assess reaction to the proposal. Copies of the assessment have been widely distributed to all environmental and protection groups, conservation societies and game shooters associations. Comment is invited and copies of the assessment are available for inspection at Public Libraries or on request to the address below. Comments will be received up to and including April 15. 1983 and should be addressed to: The Chief Executive, Agricultural Pests Destruction Council. P.O. Box 4020. Wellington.
