Reggae looks chance
Special correspondent From No. 2 at the barrier, over 1000 metres, Reggae will not have many better opportunities to. win than in the second leg of the double, the Eureka Handicap, at Te Rapa today. Reggae is one of the quickest gallopers in her class and she has another smart one to contend with, the three-year-old, Sandusky. Between them they should ensure a fast time., Two starts back Sandusky won by six lengths over 1200 metres at Wairoa in Imin 10.55. In the meantime, after scorching to a big lead, he finished third over 1300 metres on the same course, behind Reggae and Ranfurly Lass. Reggae came back into winning form at Avondale on December 15. Between then and the Wairoa meeting she had two starts for a third placing and a fifth. The first leg, the 2200 metres Enderley Handicap, looks between Hasty Chariot, Karsavina and Blue Sky, each in sound form. Hasty Chariot, after finishing equal third, then second in her last two attempts, is due to win again. Blue Sky showed his staying worth when winning over 3200 metres at Te Rapa .the other day and Karsavina has been racing consistently well.
