Fatal aim
A boy. aged two. was shot dead in his mother's arms when a paramilitary Civil Guard fired at their car for not stopping at a road checkpoint near Madrid, the police said. The mother was hit in the chest. The boy’s father. Felix Domingo Tamargo. who was driving, apparently mistook the checkpoint guards for criminals, and sped off. A Civil Guard statement said that one shot, aimed at the car tyres, hit the boy and his mother. - Madrid.
