S.C. call for diesel cut
PA Wellington Social Credit has called for a cut in the retail price of diesel, on the. ground that it would help slow inflation. The party’s works and development spokesman, Mr Neil Morrison, said that transport costs in New Zealand were considered to be
among the highest in the world. “While it is appreciated that our imported fuel costs are still alarmingly high, a lowering of transport, farming, and construction fuel prices would go a long way to steadying our inflation,” he said.
