Prices strong at opossum auction

PA Dunedin Prices generally were strong at the latest opossum fur auction held in Dunedin by Dalgety, Ltd. A fair percentage qf the collection was late winter caught, with the fur and pelt quality being similar to the December auction. The balance was spring and early summer-caught. Bidding from a full bench was animated for most grades, especially dark-brown furrier, grey furrier, and lining types. The market was quoted as 25 per cent dearer on large furrier types, 20 per cent dearer on medium-large furrier types, and a good 10 per cent dearer on lining types.
