A Iresh and stretched Coastal Trader after arriving back in Auckland from Singapore where it had a major refit. A 10.6 metre segment was added to the hull to meet increased client requirements on the New Zealand coast, allowing for an additional 24 seafreighters and a mezzanine car deck capable of holding 70 cars. The hull has been shot-blasted and the underwater surfaces coated with a special polishing paint to reduce drag. The Coastal Trader, which provides a weekly return service between Auckland. Lvttelton and Dunedin, will arrive at Lyttelton on Monday morning.
