A rear unit with two bedrooms at 368 Fisher Avenue in Beckenham was sold at auction on February 17 for $48,000 — more than twice its 1979 G.V. of $21,700. The property includes a garage with internal access. It was auctioned by Mr Gary Blair, of Canterbury Real Estate.
An architect designed luxury home at 6 Balmoral Lane in Redcliffs was sold at auction on February 18 for $112,000. The property, which sits on a 936 sq m section and has three bedrooms — one with a separate dressing room — has a G.V. (1979) of $62,000. Both the lounge and the living room open out on to a wide deck and there is space in the basement area to build two more bedrooms. Access is easy with off-street parking for six cars. The auctioneer was Mr Kent Prier, of Kent Prier Real Estate. A 29 ha dairying, cropping or horticultural unit adjacent-
to the town boundary in Lincoln was passed in at auction on February 18 for $385,000. The property includes a four-bedroomed weatherboard homestead, a threeyearold herring-bone milking shed, a haybarn, and three sheds. The auctioneer was Mr W. R. Flanagan, of Matson and Allan, who saidjhat about 25 people attended the auction and that negotiations were under way for a private sale. The G.V. has. not been quoted because it is hopelessly outdated and due for revision. A two-bedroomed house in need of renovation at 929 Colombo Street was sold at auction on February 17 for -$22,250. The property, together with a 463 sq’m section, has a G.V. (1979) of $12,500. It contains two living rooms. The auctioneer, Mr Peter Cook, of W E. Simes and Company, Ltd. 'said that the sale attracted 45 people and ■that bidding was spirited.
