Bronze Valley in good order for Woodville

Special correspondent Palmerston North Bronze Valley looks set to continue the good run being enjoyed by his trainer, Margaret Bull, when he steps out in the Morgan Handicap at Woodville» The Long Row colt worked well during a quiet morning yesterday at Awapuni and he looks in excellent order for his engagement. Bronze Valley won at his first start at New Year then ran a close third behind Call Me Stumpy and Hi Reason at Foxton. That form and the later efforts of Call Me Stumpy suggest that Bronze Valley will be the best of good things in the event. Yesterday. Bronze Valley worked with Star Bid and drew out from that runner at the end of a smart 800 m in 51s, the final 600 m in 38.45. Paul Goss will ride Bronze Valley. High Command and Storm Princess covered 1200 m in Imin 18.65, the last 600 m in 41s after going fast early. High Command has run some fair races and has a chance against the maiden stayers at Woodville. Formality was going easily all the way from the

1000 m in Imin ss, the final 600 m in 39.65. She races in the Bolton Handicap, in which she has drawn rather wide. Finlay ran his 800 m in 565, the last 600 m in 41.45. He makes a fresh start in the highweight. He is fairly forward. though a race is likely to do him good. Victor’s Moment went evenly over 1400 m in Imin 32.65. the last 600 m in 38.65. He shows promise and finished second on the Woodville course in January. He has prospects again tomorrow. Amathusia looked well running 1000 m in Imin 6s, the final 600 m in 38s. She has been racing solidly and looks a chance in the highweight tomorrow. Astronomer ran the last 600 m of 800 m in 40.55. Aldeb was at the track and she took no harm from her bold run behind Idaho's Gift on Wednesday. Jim Walker rides her in the Bolton at Woodville. Black Silver has been sold and will not be starting at Woodville, where other doubtful starters include Isle A Gree, Regal Bijou and. Ana Du Vai.
