Two admit rape
PA Gisborne Two Gisborne men charged with the rape of an Auckland girl, aged 19. changed their pleas to guilty at the start of the third day of their High Court trial in Auckland Te Ropehana Hautapu Munro, aged 22. and Michael Kodi Pureau. aged 20. both fieldworkers, also pleaded guilty to associated charges of sodomy and indecent assault. They were remanded to appear for sentence on February 24. The girl, a visitor to Gisborne. was dragged from the main street on the night of January 5 and taken to a nearby youth centre where she was held for fcur hours.
