Sun, rain totals for 1982
PA Wellington Nelson Airport was the sunniest spot in New Zealand last year, recording 2619 hours of sunshine. Milford Sound, traditionally one of the wettest spots in New Zealand, easily maintained its position in 1982. with a record of 8471 mm of rain, way above 1981’s 5861 mm.
