Chris Brailford, of Canterbury, retained his third placing of last summer during the national New Zealand Moth class yachting championship at Maraetai. Conceding 26 points. Bradford finished behind Rob Bassett (Auckland), six points, and Pat Thompson (Auckland). 16 points. The other Canterbury competitors, Mark Ashley and Clive Don. were respectively eleventh equal and sixteenth.
