Treaty claim
The Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Menachem Begin, says that Lebanon is being prevented from signing a peace treaty with Israel by Saudi Arabia and other Arab States. “We would like to sign a peace treaty with Lebanon, but the Lebanese representatives told us that this is impossible because Saudi Arabia is against it, as are Algeria and Syria,” he told Jewish fund-raisers. — Jerusalem.
