Marital rows
Michael Walsh, aged 60, was watching a television programme on battered wives when his former wife came up on screen with details of their marital rows. Mr Walsh, enraged, ran to her house brandishing a club and hit her on the head, a court was told. He pleaded guilty to wounding her and was put on probation for three years. — London.
