Dairy scholarship to N.Z.

NZPA London A British writer and .lecturer on home economics. Miss Stephanie Holland, has won the 1983 James Cook Scholarship to study the NewZealand dairy industry. The award is offered by the Dairy Board to the person who can best represent the British consumer on a fact-finding tour of New Zealand.

During her visit later this year. Miss Holland will stay in the North Island and the South Island and see how the New Zealand dairy industry is becoming the most efficient in the world, says a board press release. “Her selection was on the basis of her ability and personality to represent the British consumer and interpret and evaluate the importance of continued two-

way trade," it said. The James Cook Scholarship was established in 1982 to mark the centenary of the refrigerated dairy trade with Britain. Miss Holland was chosen from 100 applicants throughout Britain by a panel which included Mrs Joan Young, wife of the New Zealand High Commissioner in London, Mr W. L. Young.
