Bradbury back
Dave Bradbury will return to representative softball for the first time in three seasons when he plays for Canterbury against the United States at Porritt Park this evening. Canterbury will be without its two regular pitchers. Chubb Tangaroa and Jimmy Hall, and also Graeme Anderson because of their commitments to the national squads. However. Bradbury is a vastly experienced pitcher and has enjoyed a memorable summer as player-coach of Merivale-Papanui. He guided the club to promotion to the senior A grade, in which it is unbeaten. The other member of Canterbury's pitching staff is Colin Sutherland. The Canterbury team for the game, which starts at 6 p.m.. is.— Dave Bradbury. Colin Sutherland, John Daly, Paul Shannon, Murray Lanini. Maia Toa, Alan Hall. Roy Ah Kuoi, Wayne Poore, Ray Marsh. Neil Stuart, John Kottier, Andrew Sinclair.
