Table tennis coaching
Sandra Mayes, of Canterbury, receives instruction from the coach, Ron Garrett, at the New Zealand junior girls’ table tennis coaching school at the Selwyn Street
hall yesterday. Twelve of the country’s most promising under-18 players attended the threeday school, which ended yesterday. Miss
Mayes, second in the national under-16 rankings, is a member of the New Zealand team to attend the Australian junior championships in May.
