Tottenham retains hopes

NZPA-Reuter London Tottenham had its hold on the English Football Association Cup severely tested on Saturday before scraping into the last 16 of the competition. The Cup holders, bidding to win the trophy for the third successive year, fought back to beat West Bromwich 2-1 and remain unbeaten in 17 consecutive F.A. Cup matches Tottenham, without the England midfielder. Glenn Hoddle. struck back after Clive Whitehead had put West Bromwich ahead in the fifty-fifth minute.
