Amnesty move
A total of 528 people in Iran were granted amnesty on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. while nine people were executed in the provinces, the ‘'Keyhan” newspaper reported. Of the 528 released on orders of the religious leader. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeiny.’ 440 had been sentenced by revolutionary courts and 88 for common law offences. At Bojnurd. eight people accused of drug trafficking or sexual offences were executed, as was a man accused of theft at ShirazTeheran.
