Stabbed man ‘satisfactory’

A Porirua man stabbed in the face, neck, and arm during a fight in Wanganui on Thursday evening was “satisfactory” in the Wanganui Base Hospital yesterday.
The acting head of the C. 1.8. in Wanganui, Detective Sergeant D. McEwen, said the man, Owen Brider, was taken to hospital by a friend after the 10.30 p.m. incident. The police had “strong” leads and were seeking several persons.
