Chch guide at leaders’ camp
A Christchurch girl guide leader, Anne Giles, is one of 18 New Zealand guides spending most of this month at an Asia-Pacific gathering as part of the New Zealand Girl Guide Association's seventy-fifth anniversary celebrations. The gathering of young leaders aged between 20 and 30 began in Auckland yesterday with a four-day seminar. It will conclude at the end of
■January with a convention at Massey University in Palmerston North after a bus tour of the North Island and a stay at the Marton national ranger camp. The overseas delegates are from Australia, China, the Cook Islands, Japan. Singapore. Fiji, and Malaysia. Among topics being discussed are guiding, the role of women, community links, and international relations.
