Dr Penniket ‘fair’
PA Auckland Waikato's Medical Officer of Health, Dr James Penniket, injured in a road accident on Thursday, was yesterday reported in a fair condition in Middlemore Hospital after surgery to badly crushed legs.
The driver of a car involved in the accident, on the southern motorway late on Thursday afternoon, was in a serious condition with a fractured skull and crushed ribs.
